Protector 240 SC is a foliar-applied insecticide and acaricide designed to provide rapid knockdown and long-lasting control of key sucking pests, particularly whiteflies and spider mites. It is suitable for use on various crops, including vegetables and mangoes.

🧪 Active Ingredients & Mode of Action
• Spiromesifen (228.6 g/L): A Group 23 insecticide that inhibits lipid biosynthesis, disrupting the development of mites and whiteflies.
• Abamectin (11.4 g/L): A Group 6 insecticide that targets the nervous system of pests, leading to paralysis and death.

This combination offers a dual mode of action, enhancing efficacy and aiding in resistance management.

🐛 Target Pests

Protector 240% SC is effective against:
• Whiteflies (e.g., Bemisia tabaci)
• Spider mites (e.g., two-spotted spider mite)
• Thrips
• Pepper psyllid
• Flat mites

It controls all developmental stages of these pests, including eggs, larvae, and adults (excluding male spider mites).

🌿 Application Guidelines
• Dosage: Typically, 10 mL per 20 liters of water.
• Application Method: Apply as a foliar spray ensuring thorough coverage of both upper and lower leaf surfaces.
• Frequency: In vegetables, limit to 2 applications against mites and up to 4 applications against whiteflies per cropping cycle.
• Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI): Varies by crop; for instance, a 7-day PHI is common for many vegetables.

✅ Key Benefits
• Rapid Action: Provides quick knockdown of target pests.
• Long-Lasting Control: Ensures extended protection against infestations.
• Resistance Management: Dual modes of action help prevent the development of pest resistance.
• Compatibility with IPM: Suitable for Integrated Pest Management programs due to its selectivity and environmental profile.

⚠ Safety & Environmental Considerations
• Avoid Drift: Do not apply when winds exceed 15 mph to prevent off-target movement.
• Water Protection: Prevent runoff into water bodies; avoid application before heavy rains.
• Protect Beneficial Insects: While Protector  is selective, always follow guidelines to minimize impacts on non-target organisms.

• Potato: Effective against thrips, sweet potato weevils (SBW), and armyworms (ABW).
• Apple: Targets thrips, mites, and leafrollers.
• Mungbeans: Manages thrips and pod borers.
• Citrus: Combats thrips, mites, and scale insects .

Application Guidelines

Application rates vary based on the crop and pest:
• Potato: 300 ml per acre for thrips; 500–600 ml per acre for SBW.
• General Use: Dosage ranges from 50–75 ml per 10 liters of water, depending on the target pest .

Apply as a foliar spray or soil drench, preferably during early morning or late afternoon when pests are most active.

Safety Precautions
• Avoid application during strong winds or near water sources.
• Do not apply within 7 days of harvest for crops intended for human consumption.
